The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on renewable energy (RE) power projects across India.
Under the agreement, both entities will work together to identify suitable land and develop the necessary grid-connectivity infrastructure. The projects will be located in Maharashtra and other states, aiming to supply power to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers nationwide.
MAHAPREIT, a subsidiary of the Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation, focuses on inclusive renewable energy development. SECI, a key central public sector undertaking under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, will bring its project development and power trading expertise to the partnership.
