Roofsol Energy secures first C&I BESS order from ACG
Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has secured its first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) segment through a 5 MWp solar and 4 MWh BESS Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Associated Capsules Group (ACG).
The order has been secured in Maharashtra from ACG World, a global manufacturer of empty hard capsules and pharmaceutical packaging solutions. The project marks Roofsol Energy’s entry into the C&I BESS segment and comes as battery storage gains importance in meeting the energy requirements of customers in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.
Under the PPA, the project will combine 5 MWp of solar capacity with 4 MWh of BESS. The integration of solar generation and battery storage is intended to help industrial customers optimise energy consumption, improve energy resilience and support their transition towards cleaner power.
