Radiance Renewables commissions 87 MWp solar project in Karnataka
Radiance Renewables Private Limited has commissioned an 87 MWp solar project at Korwar in Karnataka to supply renewable energy to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers across sectors including data centres, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and automotive manufacturing.
The company stated that the project is expected to generate nearly 3.48 million MWh of renewable energy over its operational lifetime and help offset around 2.96 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
According to Radiance Renewables, the project was completed within the planned execution timeline and recorded more than 330,000 safe man hours without any incidents.
The solar plant is equipped with reactive power compensation systems compliant with Central Electricity Authority (CEA) requirements. The systems are intended to support grid stability and improve power management. The project has also been designed to support future integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The company said the project forms part of its broader target of achieving 2 GW of operational renewable energy capacity.
Earlier, in February 2026, Radiance Renewables raised $100 million in equity investment from Impact Fund Denmark and Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO. Radiance Renewables is backed by Eversource Capital.
