Pace Digitek subsidiary wins BESS order for Bihar power project
Lineage Power Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, has secured a BESS order from Larsen and Toubro Construction for the Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited project in Kajra. The contract includes LiFePo4 liquid cooling BESS containers valued at Rs 1,994.20 million. It covers 55 units with a total capacity of 275,825 kWh, with manufacturing clearance expected by December 2025 and delivery through March 2026. The company said the order is domestic and not a related party transaction and disclosed it under Regulation 30 of the SEBI LODR Regulations 2015.
Mines ministry reviews progress of critical mineral recycling scheme
The Ministry of Mines has reviewed the critical mineral recycling incentive scheme launched on October 2, 2025, and reported strong interest with several registrations already completed. The scheme targets a recycling capacity of 3 trillion per annum and offers Rs 15 billion in incentives. It supports recovery from e waste, lithium ion batteries and industrial scrap and is part of the National Critical Mineral Mission. It was approved on September 3, 2025 and remains open for applications until April 1, 2026.
CCI clears Jindal Jhajjar Power’s acquisition of Jhajjar Power Limited
The Competition Commission of India has approved Jindal Jhajjar Power Limited’s plan to buy all shares of Jhajjar Power Limited. Jindal Jhajjar Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jindal Power Limited, which operates in thermal generation. Jhajjar Power Limited runs a 1,320 MW supercritical plant in Haryana that began operations in mid 2012 and supplies most of its power to Haryana with the remainder going to Tata Power Trading Company Limited.
Hindustan Power secures SECI contract for solar and storage project
Hindustan Power has won a SECI contract for a 150 MW solar and storage project combining 300 MWp of solar capacity and a 300 MWh BESS. SECI awarded the project through its ISTS XX tender using a tariff based process and an e reverse auction. The configuration allows deployment across multiple sites and is expected to improve dispatchability. Chairman Ratul Puri said the project aligns with national transition goals and highlighted ongoing projects in Uttar Pradesh and Assam.
Vikram Solar commissions 5 GW Vallam module plant in Tamil Nadu
Vikram Solar has commissioned its 5 GW Vallam module manufacturing facility, raising its total module capacity to 9.5 GW. The plant uses TOPCon technology with HJT upgrade options and supports M10, G12 and G12R formats. It features high automation and advanced quality systems. The company expects better reliability, lower degradation and shorter lead times. Chairman Gyanesh Chaudhary said the plant strengthens the company’s manufacturing base in Tamil Nadu and supports long term expansion.
Solex Energy begins production at 2.2 GW solar module plant in Surat
Solex Energy has started commercial operations at its 2.2 GW module plant on November 24, 2025. Managing Director Chetan Shah outlined plans to shift toward TOPCon Plus and back contact technology with support from ISC Konstanz. The company is aligning with the upcoming ALCM regime that will require DCR modules for most projects from July 1, 2026. India’s cell capacity is expected to reach 50 to 60 GW by late 2026, driving companies to expand cell manufacturing. Solex expects to commission its 2.2 GW N Type TOPCon Plus cell line by March 2027.
TARIL wins Rs 390 crore transformer order from GETCO
Transformers and Rectifiers India Limited has won a Rs 389.97 crore transformer order from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited. The order covers 53 transformers with delivery planned next financial year. It raises TARIL’s GETCO inflow this quarter to about Rs 493.42 crore. The company recently resolved a World Bank eligibility issue related to a Nigeria project and confirmed its removal from the debarment list on November 14, 2025. The World Bank has asked for a detailed response by January 12, 2026 in Sanctions Case No. 788.

Philippines launches first auction for fixed-bottom offshore wind
The Philippines has launched its first auction for fixed bottom offshore wind under the fifth Green Energy Auction, offering 3.3 GW for 2028 to 2030. The Department of Energy said the process sets clear milestones and can help developers progress to bankable stages. Winning projects will have 20 year supply terms with payments through green energy tariffs once registered with the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market. The Terms of Reference integrate grid and port planning, with Pambujan Port and Sta Clara Port named as key hubs. Successful bidders will receive priority endorsements for grid connection and port access.
