L&T wins contract for 3,000 MW Saidongar pumped storage project
Larsen and Toubro Limited has secured a large contract from Torrent Energy Storage Solutions Private Limited for the 3,000 MW Saidongar-1 Pumped Storage Project in Raigad, Maharashtra. The order has been awarded to L&T’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure business vertical and covers design, engineering, and execution of civil and hydro mechanical works. The project will comprise ten units of 300 MW each and is expected to become India’s largest pumped storage facility. In its 14 January 2026 press release, L&T said the project will support grid reliability and energy security in Maharashtra. The company has classified the order as “Large,” corresponding to a contract value between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
Pace Digitek wins Rs 3,757 crore solar BOS order
Pace Digitek Limited has received a domestic order worth Rs 3,757.25 crore, including GST, from Bondada Engineering Limited. The contract covers Balance of System works for a 300 MW AC solar power project under an EPC framework, along with three years of O and M services. The company disclosed the order to stock exchanges on 14 January 2026 under SEBI LODR Regulations, 2015. The project is scheduled for completion within 15 months from receipt of the Letter of Award. Pace Digitek said the order strengthens its position in large scale renewable energy execution.
ACME Solar names Yogesh Kumar Sanklecha as Head Business Development
ACME Solar Holdings Limited has designated Mr. Yogesh Kumar Sanklecha as Senior Management Personnel with effect from 15 January 2026. The Board approved the appointment through a circular resolution dated 14 January 2026, following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Mr. Sanklecha has over 25 years of experience within the ACME Group and holds an MBA in Marketing from Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation, Pune. He oversees business development, project approvals, PPA management, evacuation planning, and commissioning support. ACME Solar said he has played a key role in expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
Waaree Renewable posts record Q3 revenue, strong profit growth
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited has reported its highest ever quarterly revenue in Q3 FY26. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 851.06 crore, while PAT rose to Rs 120.19 crore and EBITDA reached Rs 158.80 crore. For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, revenue was Rs 2,229.03 crore and PAT stood at Rs 322.93 crore. The company reported an unexecuted EPC order book of 2.92 GWp and secured new solar orders during the quarter. The Board also approved capex for a 120 MWp solar power park in Buldhana, Maharashtra.
PGCIL commissions India’s first 315 MVA synthetic ester transformer
Power Grid Corporation of India has commissioned a 315 MVA, 400 by 220 by 33 kV transformer filled with synthetic ester oil at its Bhiwadi substation in Rajasthan. This is the first installation of its kind in India at this voltage and capacity level. The transformer was developed by Hitachi Energy at its Maneja facility and delivered in July 2025, with the tank supplied by KRYFS Power Components Limited. PGCIL said the technology improves fire safety and environmental performance compared to mineral oil based units. Senior PGCIL leadership attended the commissioning event.
PFCCL issues RFP for Krishnagiri REZ Phase I transmission project
PFC Consulting Limited has issued an RFP to appoint a Transmission Service Provider for the Krishnagiri REZ Phase I integration project. The scheme will be implemented under a BOOT model and includes new 765 and 400 kV pooling stations, transmission lines, and STATCOM systems. The project is targeted for completion within 30 months and will be awarded through tariff based competitive bidding. Bid submission closes on 17 March 2026, with the lowest annual transmission charge bidder selected for a 35 year period. The tentative project cost is estimated at Rs 7,627 crore.
Adani Energy reports higher order book, smart meter growth in Q3 FY26
Adani Energy Solutions Limited has reported a transmission order book of Rs 77,787 crore after securing the KPS III Khwada South Olpad HVDC project. Its operational transmission network expanded to 27,901 ckm, with system availability of 99.69%. The smart metering business installed 18.88 lakh meters during the quarter, taking cumulative installations to 92.5 lakh. The smart meter order book stands at 2.46 crore units with a revenue potential of Rs 29,519 crore. The company also reported improvements in sustainability and ESG ratings.
Meghmani Organics signs 3.3 MW hybrid power pact
Meghmani Organics Limited has signed an agreement to procure 3.30 MW of wind solar hybrid power from Pro Zeal Green Power Fifteen Private Limited. The agreement was executed on 13 January 2026 to meet captive power requirements in Gujarat. MOL will invest Rs 3.63 crore to acquire at least a 26% stake in the project through equity and compulsorily convertible debentures. The company said the transaction is on an arm’s length basis and not a related party transaction. Pro Zeal Green Power Fifteen Private Limited was incorporated in June 2025 and has not commenced operations.

Grenergy wins 2.1 GWh storage contracts in Poland
Grenergy has secured capacity contracts for five standalone energy storage projects in Poland totaling 2.1 GWh. The contracts were awarded through an auction conducted by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne and represent over 11% of the auctioned capacity. The projects will have a combined power capacity of 534 MW and will begin providing services from January 2030. Grenergy will receive fixed annual payments for 17 years with a minimum economic allocation exceeding €132 million. The company also received 34 million zlotys in grants for additional storage projects under the EU Modernisation Fund.
