PGCIL profit dips 6%; GE Vernova, Hitachi post strong growth

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) reported a net profit of Rs 3,566 crore for the quarter, down 6% from Rs 3,793 crore in the same period last year. Revenue rose 1.8% to Rs 11,476 crore from Rs 11,277 crore, while EBITDA declined 6.1% to Rs 9,114 crore. EBITDA margin fell to 79.4% from 86% a year ago.
GE Vernova T&D posted a net profit of Rs 299.5 crore, more than doubling the Rs 144.6 crore recorded in the previous year. Revenue increased 39% to Rs 1,538.4 crore, while EBITDA grew 94% to Rs 396.4 crore, boosting margins to 26% from 18.5%.
Hitachi Energy India delivered strong gains as well, with net profit rising nearly five-fold to Rs 264.36 crore from Rs 52.29 crore. Revenue increased 18% year-on-year to Rs 1,832.55 crore from Rs 1,553.74 crore.
