Dharamjaigarh Transmission Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), has commissioned the Western Region Expansion Scheme-XXVIII (WRES-XXVIII) and Western Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX (WRES-XXIX).

The Date of Commercial Operation (DOCO) for both schemes was notified on May 23, 2025.

PGCIL implemented the project in Chhattisgarh. The schemes aim to strengthen the transmission infrastructure in the western region and support increased power flow from generation projects in the state.
