PFC completes transfer of two transmission SPVs to winning bidders

Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has completed the transfer of two wholly owned subsidiaries held through its subsidiary, PFC Consulting Limited, to successful bidders.
The transfers were finalised on February 3, 2026, following completion of the bidding process. PFC stated that the transactions were conducted at arm’s length and are not related to any promoter or promoter group entities.
The subsidiaries transferred are:
SR and ER Power Transmission Limited, which was set up to strengthen inter regional transmission between the Southern and Eastern grids. The company has been acquired by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for a consideration of Rs 19.63 crore.
Morena I SEZ Transmission Limited, developed for evacuation of power from renewable energy projects in the Morena Special Economic Zone in Madhya Pradesh under Phase I with a capacity of 2,500 MW. The entity has been acquired by Enerica Infra 1 Private Limited for Rs 22.35 crore.
PFC said the transfers are part of its routine business operations involving project specific special purpose vehicles.
