Olectra starts commercial operations of EV manufacturing plant in Hyderabad

Olectra Greentech Limited has begun commercial operations at the first phase of its new Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The company confirmed the development in a regulatory filing made on 01 January 2026 to the stock exchanges.
In its filing, Olectra Greentech Limited stated that it has declared 31 December 2025 as the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the greenfield EV manufacturing plant located at Seetharampur in Hyderabad, Telangana. This marks the formal commencement of production activities at the site.
With Phase I now operational, the facility has an annual per-shift production capacity of 2,500 electric buses. This represents 50 per cent of the plant’s total planned per-shift capacity of 5,000 buses once fully developed.
The disclosure has been made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
