NTPC Green signs MoU with CtrlS Datacenter for 2 GW renewable power supply

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CtrlS Datacenter Limited to develop renewable energy projects of 2 GW or more for supplying round-the-clock (RTC) renewable power to CtrlS facilities across India.Â
The agreement was signed in New Delhi on October 31, 2025, by Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NGEL and NTPC REL, and Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and Chairman of CtrlS Datacenter.
The MoU outlines collaboration between the two companies to identify and develop renewable energy solutions for CtrlS’s captive power requirements across its data centre network in India. The initiative supports both companies’ sustainability goals and strengthens NGEL’s position in the growing renewable energy supply segment for large commercial consumers.
Earlier in February 2025, CtrlS commissioned GreenVolt 1, a 125 MWp captive solar farm in Nagpur, Maharashtra, designed to power its data centre operations with clean energy.
