NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has announced the commissioning of the second phase of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and the transfer of seven renewable assets to its subsidiary as part of a structural reorganisation.

The second phase, with a capacity of 106 MW, received its commissioning certificate from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited on November 2, 2025. The first phase of 52.83 MW was declared commercially operational on August 26, 2025, taking the project’s total operational capacity to 158.83 MW.

In a separate disclosure, NLC India said it has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with its wholly owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), on October 31, 2025, to hive off seven renewable energy assets totalling 1,430 MW. The transfer is part of an asset monetisation plan approved by the Ministry of Coal.

NLC India stated that consideration for the transfer will be settled by NIRL through equity issuance or debt acknowledgement, with completion targeted for December 31, 2025.
