NTPC Green Energy Q4 profit falls 15.5% despite revenue growth
NTPC Green Energy reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 197 crore for Q4 FY26, registering a year-on-year decline of 15.5% from Rs 233 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The decline came despite strong growth in revenue and operating performance.
Revenue for the quarter increased 46.7% year-on-year to Rs 912.6 crore, compared to Rs 622.3 crore in Q4 FY25. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 38.3% to Rs 774.5 crore from Rs 560.1 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s EBITDA margin narrowed to 84.9% in Q4 FY26 from 90% in Q4 FY25, indicating higher operational costs during the quarter.
For the full financial year FY26, consolidated net profit increased 9.9% year-on-year to Rs 522.6 crore.
Alongside the quarterly results, the board approved a fundraising plan of up to Rs 5,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The company said the proposed fundraising will support future capital expenditure and refinancing requirements.
The board also approved the incorporation of a joint venture with CtrlS Datacenters for the development of renewable energy projects aimed at meeting the growing energy requirements of digital infrastructure facilities.
