NGEL commissions 90 MW at Khavda-II solar project in Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared commercial operation of the seventh part capacity of 90 MW from the 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective 00:00 hours on April 25, 2026.
The commissioned capacity is part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, held through NGEL. With this addition, the commercial capacity of the NGEL Group has increased from 10,363.90 MW to 10,453.90 MW. At the group level, NTPC now reports a total installed capacity of 89,705 MW and a commercial capacity of 88,625 MW.
Earlier this month, NGEL declared commercial operation of part capacity of its solar project in Rajasthan. The company stated that 87.50 MW out of the total planned 150 MW capacity achieved commercial operation with effect from April 19, 2026.
