NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared commercial operation of part capacity of its solar project in Rajasthan, adding to the renewable portfolio of the state-owned power major.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated that 87.50 MW out of the total planned 150 MW solar project has achieved commercial operation with effect from April 19, 2026.

The capacity addition is linked to Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture between NGEL and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

Before this commissioning, the total commercial capacity of the NGEL Group stood at 10,276.40 MW. With the addition of 87.50 MW, the group’s installed and operational renewable energy capacity has increased to 10,363.90 MW.
