The Ministry of Power (MoP) has extended the deadline for submission of Renewable Consumption Obligation (RCO) compliance details for FY25 to May 31, 2026, following requests from obligated entities.
In an office memorandum dated April 16, 2026, the Ministry stated that the extension was granted after multiple representations from Designated Consumers (DCs) routed through the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). The entities had cited difficulties in meeting the original submission timeline.
The extension provides an additional two months for final submission of compliance data. The Ministry noted that the decision has been approved by the competent authority.
