The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued the fourth revision of its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar photovoltaic cells. The update adds a new manufacturer and expands the approved model range of existing producers, reinforcing the government’s focus on domestic solar manufacturing.
The revised list, dated February 5, 2026, includes Evervolt Solar Technology India Private Limited as a first time entrant. The Andhra Pradesh based company has been approved with an annual manufacturing capacity of 1,074 MW for mono PERC cells. The listed models have claimed efficiencies in the range of 22% to 23.5%.
Existing manufacturers Mundra Solar, an Adani Group company, and Premier Energies have also expanded their approved offerings. Mundra Solar has added bifacial N type TOPCon cell models with claimed efficiencies between 24.5% and 25.7%. Premier Energies has listed a TOPCon cell model with efficiencies ranging from 24% to 26%.
Following this revision, the ALMM List II for solar cells now includes ten manufacturers. The ministry expects the list to expand further as additional Indian module makers set up cell manufacturing lines. More than sixty companies have announced plans to begin cell production during 2026 and 2027.
