The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the Solar Park Scheme’s timeline by three years, keeping it active until March 31, 2029. The extension covers the completion of ongoing solar parks and settlement of committed liabilities, without additional financial allocation.
New project approvals under the scheme will only be granted until March 31, 2026, for any remaining capacity within the existing program framework.
The scheme was originally launched in March 2017. This announcement extends deadlines previously revised in 2018, 2021, and 2023.
