MHI begins study on green hydrogen exports from India

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has launched a study to prepare a master plan for facilities and logistics to export green hydrogen and ammonia from India.
The project is part of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry’s Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation programme for FY2023 and is being carried out with India’s Hygenco Green Energies.
The study will assess production, utilisation, and transport of green hydrogen and ammonia under real environmental conditions. MHI will also integrate production and usage models to identify cost-effective facility designs for carbon-neutral fuels in India and Singapore.
