Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has incorporated L&T Green Energy Kandla Private Limited through its wholly-owned unit, L&T Energy Green Tech Limited. The company was officially registered on April 4, 2025.
The new entity will focus on the development of green hydrogen and its derivatives, including green ammonia. It will also undertake related business activities as part of L&T’s strategy to scale up its presence in the green hydrogen sector.
Earlier this week, the company’s Heavy Engineering arm completed delivery of four steam generators for the Kaiga Atomic Power Station in Karnataka. These are part of the 10×700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor Programme. The delivery was completed ahead of schedule, setting new benchmarks in execution timelines.
Additionally, on April 1, L&T secured two power transmission contracts—one for a 765 kV gas insulated substation and another for a transmission line project in Western India.
