Larsen & Toubro (L&T), through its Heavy Engineering arm, has completed the delivery of four steam generators (SGs) for the Kaiga Atomic Power Station in Karnataka. These are part of the indigenously developed 10×700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor Fleet Programme.

The fourth SG was despatched nine months ahead of schedule. The full set of four SGs was delivered in 45 months, with the first completed in just 33 months, setting a global benchmark. These SGs are for Units 5 and 6 of the Kaiga station.

In a separate development, L&T secured two contracts on April 1, 2025. The first is for a 765 kV gas insulated substation (GIS) and the second is for turnkey construction of a transmission line (TL). Both are linked to power evacuation infrastructure in Western India.
