Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has won grid infrastructure orders in both domestic and international markets.
In India, L&T has been awarded a contract to construct 765kV and 400kV transmission lines in Andhra Pradesh. These lines are critical for integrating a renewable energy zone (REZ) into the national grid.
Internationally, the company has secured turnkey orders for 220kV and 132kV gas-insulated substations in the Middle East. These contracts come from major transmission asset owners and operators in the region.
The combined value of these orders is estimated between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore.
