KPI Green Energy reports strong FY26 growth on capacity expansion

KPI Green Energy Limited has reported strong financial performance for the quarter and fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, supported by capacity additions and execution across its renewable energy portfolio. The company released its investor presentation with key performance highlights, indicating year-on-year growth across major financial metrics.

For FY26, consolidated total income increased 56% to Rs 2,742 crore from Rs 1,755 crore in FY25. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) rose 73% to Rs 1,006 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) grew 57% to Rs 509 crore from Rs 325 crore. Net worth stood at Rs 3,273 crore, up 24% from the previous year.

In Q4 FY26, revenue from operations reached Rs 796 crore, marking a 40% increase year-on-year. EBITDA for the quarter rose 80% to Rs 305 crore, while PAT increased 49% to Rs 155 crore. Basic earnings per share for FY26 stood at Rs 24.13, compared to Rs 16.23 in FY25.

The balance sheet reflects continued capital deployment, with fixed assets rising 115% year-on-year to Rs 5,427 crore. Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rs 424 crore, compared to Rs 208 crore in FY25.

Operationally, the company’s total portfolio reached about 6.26 GW, comprising Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Captive Power Producer (CPP) assets. Installed capacity stood at 1.62 GW, with 4.64 GW under execution. The IPP portfolio totals 2.57 GWp, including 0.96 GWp operational capacity and 1.61 GWp under development. The company holds a land bank exceeding 7,210 acres and power evacuation capacity of 3.59 GW.

During the year, KPI Green Energy obtained an inter-state electricity trading licence from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and an intra-state licence from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), enabling participation in wider power markets. The company is also expanding into green hydrogen and ammonia, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and solar panel cleaning robotics.

The company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 9,059 crore as of May 4, 2026.
