Kanohar Electricals Limited has won a contract valued at Rs 5,686.69 million from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the supply of high-capacity power transformers under its bulk procurement programme.
The order, listed as 400 kV Transformer Package-4TR-08-BULK under Lot 4, includes the procurement of:
PGCIL had floated bids for this bulk procurement of 765 kV and 400 kV class transformers and reactors of various capacities in January 2025.

The lease term is 30 years, with an annual rent of Rs 3.205 million. The solar project will be set up at Ambalathara village in Hosdurg taluk. Power generated from the facility will be used to meet KMRL’s electricity requirements.
