Jakson Green Private Limited (JGPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jakson Power Private Limited, has partnered with Blueleaf Energy Renewables Private Limited for the joint implementation of 700 MW/1,000 MWp solar power projects in Rajasthan.

The projects will require an estimated investment of Rs 34 billion (USD 400 million).

JGPL secured:

  • 400 MW under NHPC’s 3,000 MW ISTS-connected solar auction in November 2023 at Rs 2.53 per kWh. NHPC invited bids in June 2023, and the power will be sold to state utilities and distribution companies (DISCOMs).
  • 200 MW under SECI’s (Solar Energy Corporation of India) 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar auction (Tranche-XI) in July 2023 at Rs 2.6 per kWh. SECI invited bids in March 2023, and the power will be supplied to SECI.
  • 100 MW of State Transmission Utility (STU)-connected solar projects in Rajasthan under Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s (RUVNL) 1,000 MW auction in April 2023 at Rs 2.61 per kWh. RUVNL invited bids in January 2023, and the power will be supplied to Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL).

The three solar projects, developed on a build-own-operate model, will be commissioned between 2025 and 2026.

The portfolio is expected to generate over 1,800 GWh of green energy annually, powering 1.5 million households and preventing 22 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions over 25 years. This is equivalent to removing five million cars from the road.

Meanwhile, Aarti Industries Limited has signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Private Limited to develop a 16.5 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in India.

Under the SPA, Aarti Industries will acquire a 49 per cent equity stake in Clean Max Indus Private Limited, the project’s special purpose vehicle (SPV). Completion is expected by FY 2027.

Separately, Filatex India Limited has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Torrent Power Limited (TPL) for a 19.8 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat. Filatex will invest Rs 240 million, while TPL will own and operate the plant and supply power to Filatex. The project is scheduled for commissioning by September 2025.
