Hindustan Powerprojects Private Limited (HPPPL) has started construction of a 300 MW (435 MWp) Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The project is part of the larger 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar programme being implemented for Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). It was announced during the Clean Energy Summit 2025 held in Lucknow.
Under the scope of work, HPPPL will identify land, develop the project, and own and operate it on a Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) basis. The company will also be responsible for securing all necessary approvals and connectivity.
The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) is set at 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The project supports Uttar Pradesh’s target of reaching 22,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2026–27.
