H.G. Infra qualifies for UP transmission project bidding
H.G. Infra Engineering has been declared a qualified bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited for a transmission project in Uttar Pradesh under a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
The project involves the construction of a 220/132/33 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) substation at Ranipur in Mau district and another 220/132/33 kV AIS substation at Chunar in Mirzapur district, along with associated transmission lines. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis with a concession period of 35 years.
The annual transmission charges quoted for the project stand at Rs 45.01 crore per year. The execution timeline for the project has been set at 18 months.
According to the list issued after the opening of technical bids, six companies qualified for the next stage of the bidding process. All bidders participated as sole entities with 100% equity contribution.
The qualified bidders are Adani Energy Solutions, Dilip Buildcon, H.G. Infra Engineering, Montecarlo, and Power Grid Corporation of India. PNC Infratech was declared non-responsive under clause 3.2 of the Request for Proposal (RfP).
The project is part of ongoing transmission infrastructure expansion in Uttar Pradesh aimed at strengthening grid connectivity and supporting regional power demand growth.
