A consortium comprising Hetvi Construction Limited, Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies Limited (formerly Sangam Renewables Limited), and Jayantipur Construction Private Limited (JSPCL) has secured a contract from Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 125 MW solar power project.

The project is part of the 1,000 MW Khagarijan Solar Power Project – Mukhya Mantri Sauro Shakti Prokolpo in Assam. The consortium will handle the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant, including all allied civil works. The scope also covers integration with a 33kV high-tension (HT) switchgear at a 400/33kV pooling substation.

Additionally, the consortium will be responsible for three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) and a 10-year annual maintenance contract (AMC) for critical equipment. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months for Rs 7,400.6 million.

In May 2024, APDCL invited EPC bids for 250 MW (2 x 125 MW) capacity at Block-4 and Block-5 under the Khagarijan Solar Power Project. The Hetvi-Waaree-JSPCL consortium and a joint venture of Rays Power Infra Private Limited and Insolation Energy Limited submitted bids.

APDCL is implementing the 1,000 MW solar power project across 6,611.57 acres in Khagarijan village, Karbi Anglong district, under the Mukhya Mantri Sauro Shakti Prokolpo scheme. The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is being developed in EPC mode.
