Rotomag Enertec Limited has purchased a 50.99 per cent stake in Statcon Energiaa Private Limited. The partnership will focus on developing megawatt-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and increasing the production of domestically manufactured solar inverters.
The companies also plan joint research and development on advanced energy solutions using lithium-ion batteries. They aim to expand operations into markets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Statcon Energiaa, according to its press release, is the first Indian company to fully design, manufacture, and sell on-grid solar inverters. Its product range also includes power converters for green hydrogen, defence, railways, and the power sector. The company recently signed a deal with AEG PS, Germany, targeting the green hydrogen rectifier market in India.
The collaboration will focus on the development of next-generation MW-BESS solutions, scaling production of indigenised hybrid and three-phase on-grid solar inverters, advancing green hydrogen rectifiers, joint R&D on lithium-ion battery solutions, and expanding into international markets.
