GK Energy bags Rs 454.5 crore rooftop solar order
GK Energy Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment (LOE) from a leading state government-owned power distribution utility for the execution of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects. Under the empanelment, the company has been allocated 100,000 projects of 1 kW each, with a combined capacity of 100 MW, to be installed across 100,000 households.
The projects will be executed at a contract rate of Rs 45,450 per kW, including GST, giving the aggregate contract a value of approximately Rs 454.50 crore.
Project scope
GK Energy’s scope covers the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar photovoltaic systems. The company will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the projects for five years.
Each project is to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the respective work order.
Order disclosure
GK Energy disclosed the empanelment to the BSE and NSE on August 26, 2026, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
The company said the order is domestic in nature and does not involve any related party transaction. It also confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the entity awarding the contract.
