Flender has inaugurated a new wind generator production facility in Chennai, expanding its manufacturing capabilities in India. The facility operates under the company’s Winergy brand and is intended to bring production closer to customers while improving supply chain efficiency.

The new site is part of Flender’s strategy to expand its wind business in India and increase localisation across its manufacturing and supply chain operations. The facility adds capabilities across the wind drivetrain value chain and includes integrated winding operations.

The company said the investment is aimed at improving responsiveness, shortening lead times and strengthening its position in the Indian wind market. The expanded local manufacturing capabilities are also expected to support local industrial development and skilled employment.
