Envision Energy has signed a 344.5MW wind turbine supply agreement for the Quezon North Wind project, making it the Philippines’ largest single wind power contract.

ACEN, the Ayala Group’s renewable energy platform, awarded it.

The Quezon North Wind project will be the largest onshore wind initiative in the Philippines. It marks the second collaboration between Envision and ACEN, following the 600MW Monsoon Wind project in Lao PDR, which is Southeast Asia’s first cross-border wind power project.

Envision Energy’s scope includes the design, engineering, manufacturing and delivery of wind turbines with 150m towers. These advanced turbines are tailored to optimise energy generation under Quezon’s specific wind conditions, boosting performance and reliability.

The project aligns with the Philippines’ renewable energy goals, significantly increasing its green energy capacity and supporting its transition to a sustainable economy. Envision’s intelligent control systems and data analytics will enhance operational efficiency, showcasing cutting-edge technology and commitment to sustainability.

Beyond the Philippines, Envision Energy has secured its largest battery energy storage order in South Africa, providing three systems for the 257MW Oasis 1 cluster, with 1,028MWh of capacity. This marks the first gigawatt-scale energy storage order in the region, further establishing Envision as a leader in sustainable energy solutions.
