ENGIE signs PPA with SECI for 100 MW solar project in Rajasthan

ENGIE has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 100 MW solar photovoltaic project to be developed in Barmer, Rajasthan.Â
The project is located in one of India’s highest solar irradiance zones and is scheduled for commissioning in 2027.
Commenting on the development, Amit Jain, CEO and Country Manager of ENGIE India, said the agreement with SECI reflects a continued partnership aimed at accelerating India’s clean energy transition.
With this addition, ENGIE’s solar portfolio in Rajasthan now stands at around 1 GW. Â
