Desein Private Limited has secured a Rs 55.93 million contract to provide detailed project consultancy for the 800 MW expansion of the Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Project (RGTPP).
Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) issued bids for this consultancy in June 2024.
The 800 MW coal-based ultra-supercritical expansion will be built in Khedar, Hisar district, Haryana, at an estimated cost of Rs 72.5 billion. RGTPP, initially implemented with 2×600 MW subcritical technology, commissioned Unit I in 2010 and Unit II in 2011.
