Amazon India signs PPAs for 379 MW wind power procurement

AEI New Energy Trading Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon India Retail Private Limited, has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with three companies for procuring power from 379 MW wind power projects.
The agreements include:
With these additions, Amazon’s renewable energy portfolio in India now includes 53 solar and wind projects. Collectively, these projects generate over 4 million MWh of carbon-free energy annually, enough to power more than 1.3 million Indian homes.
Amazon’s renewable energy investments in India consist of nine utility-scale solar and wind farms, along with onsite solar installations at 44 local buildings supporting its operations.
