AEI New Energy Trading Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon India Retail Private Limited, has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with three companies for procuring power from 379 MW wind power projects.
The agreements include:
- JSW Neo Energy Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL), for 180 MW of wind power from its project in Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu.
- CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Private Limited for 100 MW of wind power from its project in Koppal, Karnataka.
- Blupine Energy Private Limited for 99 MW of wind power from its project in Solapur, Maharashtra.
With these additions, Amazon’s renewable energy portfolio in India now includes 53 solar and wind projects. Collectively, these projects generate over 4 million MWh of carbon-free energy annually, enough to power more than 1.3 million Indian homes.
Amazon’s renewable energy investments in India consist of nine utility-scale solar and wind farms, along with onsite solar installations at 44 local buildings supporting its operations.
