Advait Energy Transitions Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a 150 MW/300 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat.

The LoI confirms the company’s selection as the lowest (L1) bidder under GUVNL’s Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding Phase-VIII at a tariff of  Rs 2.10 lakh per MW per month, inclusive of taxes.

The contract is domestic in nature and does not involve related-party transactions. Advait is required to commission the project within 18 months from the signing of the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement. The BESS facility is designed to support two full operational cycles per day.

The project will receive viability gap funding support through the Power System Development Fund (PSDF) and is subject to Electricity Regulatory Approval (E-RA). Upon commissioning, dispatch operations will be managed by Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO).

Formerly Advait Infratech Limited, the Ahmedabad-based company continues to expand its presence in grid-scale energy storage.
