Adani Power Limited (APL) is among four firms competing for the 2,400 MW Pirpainti Thermal Power Project in Bhagalpur district, Bihar. The other companies that have expressed interest are JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL), Torrent Power Limited, and Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited (LPGCL).
Originally proposed with a capacity of 1,320 MW (2 × 660 MW), the project has now been revised to 2,400 MW, comprising three units of 800 MW each.
