ACME Solar Holdings Limited has expanded its renewable portfolio with two major milestones, the signing of a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a firm renewable energy project and the commissioning of the first phase of a 100 MW wind project in Gujarat.

Through its special purpose vehicle (SPV), ACME Solar signed the PPA with Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power-D) on October 16, 2025, for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The Letter of Award was issued in September 2025. The agreement is priced at ₹4.43 per unit, with a minimum annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 40% and four hours of peak-hour supply at 90% monthly availability.

The project will integrate multiple renewable technologies, including solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), to meet firm supply obligations. With this PPA, ACME Solar has secured agreements totaling 600 MW of renewable capacity and 550 MWh of standalone BESS projects in FY26 to date.

Separately, the company has commissioned the first 28 MW phase of its 100 MW ACME Eco Clean wind project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The commissioning was witnessed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), with formal certification expected soon.

The wind project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and executed through in-house EPC, using SANY 4 MW turbines. The generated power is pooled at a 33/220 kV station and evacuated to the Shapar substation through a dedicated 220 kV transmission line shared with ACME’s existing 50 MW wind project.

Power from the new project will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a 25-year PPA. The commissioning raises ACME Solar’s total operational capacity from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW.
