ACME Solar has reported strong financial growth for the third quarter of FY 2024-25, ending on December 31, 2024. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) surged by 152% year-on-year, reaching Rs 1.12 billion, with a PAT margin of 28%. 

Total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 4.01 billion, reflecting a 9.9% year-on-year increase and a 35.8% quarter-on-quarter growth. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 15.7%, reaching Rs 3.59 billion, with a strong EBITDA margin of 89.6%.

The company’s net debt-to-equity ratio stood at 1.6x as of Q3 FY 2024-25, largely due to debt repayment from initial public offering proceeds. The total net debt amounted to Rs 68.82 billion, with Rs 60.69 billion allocated to operational projects and Rs 8.13 billion for under-construction projects.  

Meanwhile, JSW Energy and Coal India posted lower results for the same period. JSW Energy reported a net profit of Rs 1.57 billion, marking a 32.32% decline from Rs 2.32 billion in Q3 2023. The company’s revenue dropped by 0.79% to Rs 26.4 billion compared to Rs 26.61 billion last year.

Coal India also reported a decline in net profit, posting Rs 84.91 billion for the quarter, a 17.5% decrease from Rs 102.92 billion in Q3 2023. The company’s total income decreased by 1.13%, reaching Rs 379.23 billion, compared to Rs 383.57 billion in the same period last year.
