ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 75 MW at its ACME Sikar Solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This takes the project’s total commissioned capacity to 240 MW out of a planned 300 MW. The development raises ACME Solar’s total operational capacity to 2,806.4 MW.
Spread across approximately 1,300 acres in one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones, the project is connected to the Bikaner-II grid substation through a dedicated 220 kV single-circuit transmission line. The energy is pooled at inverter stations and stepped up for evacuation.
The project was awarded under SECI’s Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Tranche-XVIII at a tariff of Rs 3.05 per kWh. The tariff has already been adopted, and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected to be signed shortly. Until then, power from the commissioned capacity will be sold on power exchanges under merchant tariffs.
Financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), the fully commissioned project is expected to generate approximately 780 million units of renewable electricity annually.
With this milestone, ACME Solar’s operational portfolio stands at 2,806.4 MW, while 4,163.6 MW remains under implementation. The company manages end-to-end development, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operations and maintenance (O&M) in-house.
