Accord Transformer acquires land for manufacturing expansion
Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited has acquired land in Rajasthan for the expansion of its manufacturing operations. The company has purchased a 20,300 sq m (2.030 hectares or 8.12 bigha) land parcel at Village Shekhupr Aheer, Tehsil Tijara, District Khairthal-Tijara, Rajasthan.
The total transaction value is approximately Rs 10.67 crore, comprising Rs 8.85 crore for the land and Rs 1.82 crore towards stamp duty and commission. The sale deed is expected to be executed on or before July 7, 2026.
Expansion plans
The land has been acquired to support the company’s long-term growth plans, including the expansion of manufacturing facilities, warehousing, testing infrastructure and other allied business activities.
The new site is located near the company’s existing manufacturing facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, providing logistical advantages for future expansion.
Accord Transformer currently operates manufacturing units in Bhiwadi, District Alwar, with an installed manufacturing capacity of more than 1,200 MVA and an operational capacity of 900.36 MVA per annum.
The facilities are equipped with automated winding systems, foil winding machines, oil filtration systems, high-voltage testing equipment, CNC panel fabrication machines and an in-house testing laboratory for quality assurance.
The company manufactures transformers and switchgear for industrial, utility and infrastructure applications. The expansion comes as demand for transmission and distribution equipment continues to grow, supported by renewable energy capacity additions, transmission network expansion, distribution infrastructure upgrades and rising industrial power demand.
