The Board of Directors of NTPC has approved investments for two power projects during its meeting on September 19, 2024. The Darlipali Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (1×800 MW) in Sundargarh, Odisha, received approval with an estimated cost of Rs 111.31 billion. Additionally, the Sipat Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (1×800 MW) in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, was approved with an estimated cost of Rs 97.91 billion.

These two thermal power projects represent a combined investment of Rs 209.22 billion.
