THDC India Limited synchronised Unit I of the Tehri Pumped Storage Plant Project with the National Grid on November 19, 2024.
Furthermore, the coal firing was also achieved within a few hours of oil synchronisation.
THDC, a joint venture (JV) of NTPC Limited and the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP), is implementing the project. The Tehri PSP consists of four reversible pump turbine units of 250 MW each in Uttarakhand.
