Rays Power commissions 300 MWp solar project with 400 kV evacuation system in Rajasthan

Rays Power Infra Ltd. has commissioned a 300 MWp solar power project in Rajasthan along with two 400/33 kV pooling substations and a 16.6 km, 400 kV transmission line connected to the Fatehgarh substation.

The integrated solar and transmission development has been executed on a turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The evacuation infrastructure provides more than 1 GW of combined transformation capacity, enabling the pooling and transmission of renewable generation into the wider grid.

The 300 MWp solar plant will evacuate its generation through the two pooling substations, which will consolidate the power and step up the voltage for onward transmission. The associated 400 kV transmission line extends 16.6 km and connects the pooling infrastructure to the Fatehgarh 400 kV Substation, a major grid hub in Rajasthan.

The high-capacity evacuation system is designed to integrate large volumes of renewable generation into the national grid while supporting reliable power flow and grid stability.

Project execution

The solar plant, twin 400/33 kV pooling substations and 400 kV transmission line were delivered as an integrated turnkey EPC project, combining utility-scale renewable generation with Extra High-Voltage transmission infrastructure.
