LNK Energy achieves financial closure for Phase 1 of 6 GW solar facility
LNK Energy has achieved financial closure with the State Bank of India (SBI) for Phase 1 of its planned 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The project will establish manufacturing capacity across the solar value chain, covering ingots, wafers, cells and modules.
The financial closure marks progress on LNK Energy’s plans to build an integrated clean energy platform in India. The company has committed to invest Rs 10,000 crore over the next five years across advanced manufacturing, green fuels and renewable energy generation.
Solar manufacturing
The Maharashtra facility is planned with an overall manufacturing capacity of 6 GW. Unlike module-only manufacturing projects, the facility will integrate multiple stages of the solar manufacturing chain, extending from ingot and wafer production to solar cells and finished modules.
Phase 1 of the project has now reached financial closure with SBI. LNK Energy acknowledged SBI’s role in financing the project and the teams involved in completing the process.
The manufacturing investment forms part of the company’s broader focus on building domestic clean energy capacity and supporting India’s energy security and industrial decarbonisation objectives.
Investment plans
LNK Energy was launched as an integrated clean energy platform with an investment commitment of Rs 10,000 crore over five years. The company was introduced by its co-founders on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026.
The company was founded by Paritosh Ladhani, Kushagra Nandan and Varun Karad. Its strategy is structured around three areas: advanced manufacturing, green fuels and renewable energy generation.
The 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra forms part of the advanced manufacturing segment of this strategy, with the planned ingot-to-module configuration extending the company’s presence across key stages of the solar manufacturing value chain.
