Sunsure Energy secures Rs 262 crore financing for Tamil Nadu solar project

Sunsure Energy has secured Rs 262 crore in project financing from FMO and Axis Bank for its 75 MWp open access solar project at Ilayangudi in Tamil Nadu. The company said this is FMO’s first project financing in India’s group captive commercial and industrial renewable energy sector. The project will supply clean electricity to commercial and industrial consumers through the open access route. The financing combines support from an international development finance institution and a domestic lender.

Vikram Solar commissions Tamil Nadu module plant, rolls out first solar module

Vikram Solar has commissioned its solar PV module manufacturing facility at Gangaikondan, Tamil Nadu, with the rollout of its first solar module. The 6 lakh sq ft automated facility will manufacture Hypersol N-Type TOPCon G12R modules with rated power output of 615–640 Wp and efficiencies of up to 23.69%. The plant is expected to generate employment for more than 1,500 skilled professionals. The company plans to add cell, wafer and ingot manufacturing as part of its integrated manufacturing roadmap.

Cosmic PV Power, Havells among new entrants in ALMM revision

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has revised the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding manufacturing facilities of Cosmic PV Power, Solarium Green Energy, Havells India and NRG SOL Power. The revision also includes multiple capacity expansions and additional module models across existing manufacturers. Most approvals are for bifacial N-Type TOPCon technology, although additional Mono PERC variants were also approved. The updated ALMM now includes more than 100 enlisted manufacturers and models.

JBIC signs JPY 80 billion loan agreement with PGCIL for HVDC project

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has signed a loan agreement of up to JPY 80 billion with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for an HVDC transmission project linking Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat with Nagpur in Maharashtra. JBIC will provide JPY 48 billion, while the balance will be co-financed by participating financial institutions. The project is expected to strengthen India’s transmission network and support renewable energy integration. JBIC said the financing is part of its GREEN operations and aligns with Japan’s POWERR Asia initiative.

Vayona Energy starts blade production at Nellore wind manufacturing facility

Vayona Energy has commenced blade manufacturing operations at its Nellore facility in Andhra Pradesh. The upgraded plant will manufacture blades for the company’s 3X platform and future-generation products. Investments will continue through 2027, with the facility expected to create around 1,500 jobs. The blade plant, together with the Mamandur nacelle facility, supports Vayona Energy’s integrated manufacturing strategy in India.

Adani Energy, Power Grid among qualified bidders for Ananthapuram-III project

PFC Consulting Limited has declared eight bidders technically qualified for the tariff-based competitive bidding process for the Transmission System for Integration of Ananthapuram-III PS REZ-Phase-I (3 GW). Qualified bidders include Adani Energy Solutions Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Dilip Buildcon Limited, Jakson Limited, Resonia Limited, G R Infraprojects Limited, Apraava Energy Private Limited and Shivalaya Construction Limited. The project will enable evacuation of about 3 GW of renewable energy from the Ananthapuram-III Renewable Energy Zone. It will be implemented on a build, own, operate and transfer basis.

CleanMax commissions record 530 MW renewable capacity in Q1 FY27

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited commissioned approximately 530 MW of renewable energy capacity during Q1 FY27, its highest-ever quarterly commissioning. The additions increased its operational renewable energy portfolio from approximately 3.6 GW to approximately 4.2 GW as of June 30, 2026. Around 403 MW was added under the RE Power Sales business, including approximately 350 MWp of solar and 53 MW of wind capacity. Projects were commissioned across 11 sites in five states.

Premier Energies secures Rs 3,011 crore solar orders in Q1 FY27

Premier Energies Limited secured orders worth Rs 3,011 crore during the April–June quarter for the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and modules. Deliveries are scheduled across FY 2027 and FY 2028. The orders have been received from power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other customers. The company is expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW and solar cell capacity to 10.6 GW by September 2026.

Serentica signs PPA with SECI for 600 MW FDRE VII project

Serentica Renewables has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 600 MW (2,400 MWh) allocation under the FDRE VII Assured Peak tender. The project is designed to supply renewable power during non-solar peak demand hours using renewable generation and energy storage. It is expected to generate approximately 975 million units annually and avoid more than 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Following the allocation, the company’s utility-scale renewable energy portfolio has increased to more than 8.7 GWp.

Jupiter International secures Rs 108 crore solar pump order from MSEDCL

Jupiter International Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply of 5,000 solar-powered agricultural pumps. The order is valued at Rs 108 crore. The company said the award strengthens its presence in Maharashtra’s solar pump market and supports the expansion of its solar pumping business. It continues to manufacture photovoltaic solar cells alongside integrated solar power solutions.
