Adani Energy, Power Grid among qualified bidders for Ananthapuram-III project

PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) has declared eight bidders as technically qualified for the next stage of the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process for the “Transmission System for Integration of Ananthapuram-III PS REZ-Phase-I (3 GW)” project.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) bids were opened on June 25, 2026. Following the technical evaluation, the qualified bidders will proceed to the opening of their Initial Offers, which will be ranked in ascending order to determine eligibility for the electronic reverse auction.

The eight qualified bidders are Adani Energy Solutions Limited, Dilip Buildcon Limited, Jakson Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Resonia Limited, G R Infraprojects Limited, Apraava Energy Private Limited and Shivalaya Construction Limited.

Project scope

The project involves establishing a pooling station near the Urvakonda, Beluguppa or Kalyandurg areas in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, along with a 765 kV double-circuit transmission line to Krishnagiri and a ±300 MVAR STATCOM.

The transmission system has been planned to enable the immediate integration and evacuation of about 3 GW of renewable energy from the Ananthapuram-III Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).

The pooling station comprises 3×1500 MVA, 765/400 kV transformers and 7×500 MVA, 400/220 kV transformers, with a scheduled commercial operation date (COD) of 36 months. The project also includes the ±300 MVAR STATCOM and the Ananthapuram-III–Krishnagiri 765 kV D/C transmission line with switchable line reactors (SLR).

The successful bidder will acquire 100% equity in the project-specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) and implement the transmission system on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.
