Accord Transformer gets UGVCL vendor approval for distribution transformers in Gujarat
Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited has received vendor registration approval from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL), enabling it to manufacture and supply 500 kVA, 11/0.415 kV Level-1 CRGO Copper Wound Distribution Transformers to the utility. The registration is valid for five years and allows the company to participate directly in tenders floated by UGVCL and other Gujarat power utilities.
The approval was granted following a factory inspection and technical evaluation of the company’s manufacturing capabilities, quality systems and operational standards.
UGVCL empanelment
With the registration, Accord Transformer expands its approved vendor base in Gujarat, one of India’s largest industrial and power-consuming states. The empanelment provides access to utility procurement opportunities in the state’s power distribution sector.
UGVCL is a subsidiary of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
Order from Sunsure Energy
Separately, the company has received a purchase order worth Rs 47 lakh from Sunsure Energy Private Limited for the supply of 150 kVA and 500 kVA auxiliary transformers.
The transformers will be deployed in solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects at the Mundsar project in Rajasthan. The order is scheduled to be executed within three months.
