CtrlS signs MoU with Suzlon for up to 250 MW wind power projects
CtrlS Datacenters has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Suzlon Energy Limited to develop wind power projects with a capacity of up to 250 MW in Maharashtra. The renewable energy generated from the projects will be used to power CtrlS’ data centre operations.
Under the agreement, CtrlS will leverage Suzlon’s capabilities in wind turbine supply, project development and long-term operations and maintenance for the proposed projects.
The partnership is aimed at increasing the share of renewable energy in CtrlS’ energy mix and supporting its long-term sustainability goals.
Renewable energy targets
CtrlS said the MoU supports its target of sourcing 100% of its electricity requirements from renewable energy sources by 2030. The company is also working towards building a clean energy portfolio of more than 1 GW and achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
The proposed wind projects are expected to contribute to these targets by providing renewable power for the company’s expanding digital infrastructure.
