REC, ERDA sign MoU for quality testing under RDSS
REC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) to strengthen quality testing and assurance systems for materials used under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The agreement was signed at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi. The MoU was signed by Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited, and Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prince Dhawan, Executive Director (PMD), REC Limited, along with officials from both organisations.
Scope of collaboration
Under the partnership, REC and ERDA will work together on third-party quality testing of materials deployed in RDSS projects.
The collaboration will also cover technical support, capacity-building programmes, and development of quality assurance frameworks for project implementation.
According to the companies, the initiative aims to ensure that materials used in RDSS works comply with prescribed standards and support improved operational reliability of the power distribution network.
