The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 742 MW of solar module manufacturing capacity. With this update, the cumulative capacity under the ALMM has reached 91,458 MW.
Two new companies, Nithin Sai Renewables (473 MW) and Worldone Energies (164 MW), have joined the list, contributing a combined 637 MW.
Several existing manufacturers have also revised their capacities. Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics added 104 MW, increasing its total capacity from 703 MW to 807 MW. Orb Energy increased its capacity by 1 MW, now standing at 72 MW.
Avaada Electro made an addition of 1,272 MW from its Nagpur facility. Its earlier listed capacity from the Dadri plant in Uttar Pradesh was 1,165 MW.
Reliance Industries has entered the ALMM list for the first time, with 1,716 MW of capacity from its Jamnagar facility.
On the other hand, some manufacturers have seen reductions. TP Solar’s capacity was reduced by 187 MW, Jakson Engineers by 38 MW, and Pahal Solar by 18 MW.
The updated list also includes minor updates, such as Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd. (REIL) adding 10 MW in Co-ALMM with Icon Solar. Gujarat-based SASA Energy made model additions, while Pahal Solar’s enlisted capacity was reduced by 2 MW, now at 98 MW.
